III International Baseball Tournament "Cup of Brest - 2012"
By: Igor Lukashevich (BLR)27-30 September 2012 in Brest, the III International Baseball Tournament "Cup of Brest - 2012" among juvenile (2000 and younger) took place.
The tournament, which has become traditional in Brest, involved eight teams from Russia, Lithuania and Belarus. Cup winner was the team of "Vilnius" (Lithuania). In the final, the Lithuanian baseball beat "Brest Zubrs" with the score 8-3. Third Place - Team "Sugar Storm" (Skidel, Belarus), who won "Kaunas" (Lithuania) with a score of 11-6.
The best players in the tournament are recognized:
"MVP" - Alexander Lukashevich ("Brest Zubrs", Belarus)
"Best pitcher" - Alex Karpovich ("Sugar storm", Belarus)
"Best batting" - Povilas Grigas ("Vilnius", Lithuania)
"Best Fielding" -Stremaytis Mindaugas ("Kaunas", Lithuania).
Teams and the best players of the tournament were awarded with cups, medals and diplomas. Also, in each of the eight teams prizes and diplomas were given to the best players and the most valuable player of their team. A tournament lit television and press the Brest region. Finally, a memory photo of the competition was taken.
