Invitation to IBAF Umpire Camp

The International Baseball Federation (IBAF) will hold an Umpire Camp in Tirrenia, Italy on June 20 to 24, 2012. This camp will be organized with the aim of providing elite European umpires with the opportunities to learn and further develop proper mechanics and what is needed to umpire the game at the top international level.

Registration fee:
 
300 Euros
 
 
Method of the payment:
 
Cash at onsite registration desk or bank transfer.
 
 
Accommodation:
 
Double room (included in the registration fee)
 
 
Airport:
 
For air travel, use of Pisa airport is recommended.
 
 
Transport:
 
A pick-up service will be arranged upon request from Pisa airport or Livorno train station.
 
 
Umpire gear:
 
Bring your own umpire gear.

Interested umpires are requested to complete the nomination/registration form (attached) and submit it at anna.diluca@ibaf.org by April 6th, 2012. Please note that nomination/registration form must be made through a National Federation in a European country where each umpire is currently based.
 
Umpires that successfully complete the training program will be included in a list of “IBAF Umpires” that will be given the opportunity to work future IBAF events. However this does not guarantee assignment to IBAF tournaments. For questions, please contact the IBAF Office.
