Austria, Lithuania win B-Pool, to compete for a spot in the 2019 European Baseball Championship

Austria and Lithuania have won the European Baseball Championships B-Pool 2017.

In Belgrade on Saturday the 29th, July, Austria took the best of Israel 12-2, finishing the week with a 5-1 record while Lithuania stuned Russia with a big 5-run fifth in Miejska Gorka, Poland, to win its first B-Pool event ever.

With the postponing of the European Baseball Championship from 2018 to 2019 to serve as a pre-qualifier for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Qualification Tournament, one spot will be decided in 2018 between Austria and Lithuania, the other one to be awarded to the 2019 B-Pool winners match-up.

Already qualified teams for the 2019 Euro Baseball are Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain and Sweden.
