Croatia has been part of the Confederation of European Baseball since 1992. They first competed in a European Championship A-Pool in 1999 and since then have participated in each edition. However the Croatian national team had to take a detour through the B-Pool several times.

Also following a 12th place at the 2014 European Championship Croatia needed to re-qualify. They did so by winning the European Championship B-Pool in 2015 in Karlovac. They remained undefeated in the event and beat Slovakia 6-4 in the final to return to the A-Pool.

In the 2014 European Championship they celebrated a 10-3 win over Russia in the preliminary stage, but still ended up in the classification round due to losing a three-team tie. In the classification round they beat Sweden 11-10, but once again were on the losing end in the tiebreaker, finishing in 12th place in the final standings.
