The Netherlands (and Israel) clinch second round spots

So far so good for Europe at the 2017 World Baseball Classic.

After a 5-0 win against South Korea, The Netherlands won a thrilling game against Chinese Taipei 6-5 on a walk-off, bases loaded walk in the 9th. Dashenko Ricardo went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs, Didi Gregorius 3 for 4 with 2 R and 3 RBIs and Wladimir Balentien 4 for 4. Shairon Martis picked up the win in relief.

With two wins in as many games The Netherlands and Israel have already clinched their spot to the second round. They'll play against each other on Thursday then again on Friday for the Pool A final game.
